WHERE THE LIGHT ENTERS

When the rains come, everywhere there are underground streams and rivulets between the tree trunks on the slope, all draining into the creek. This grouping, Groundswell, is meant to emphasize both the inter-dependence of the paintings and at the same time, their completeness as individual works. The former is achieved through a modal form of working and the latter through the tuning of color and a certain serendipity in the drawing.
