AUNTS AND UNCLES

My father was one of 13 kids growing up on a tobacco farm in North Carolina, so while they were still around I had a lot of aunts and uncles. I thought about painting a piece for each of them, but only managed four into the project before I got distracted. Thinking of family trees, I tried to imbue the drawing with something of the feel of folk art. I grew up in Europe, coming back to the US when I was 12, and there's something of that in these. The dimensions are a meter by a yard.
